Harold Mante, a Berliner by birth, has been a free lance photographer since 1965. He is the author of many books on photography including one considered to be a classic, The Photograph: Composition and Color Design. He was also a professor at the University of Applied Arts and Sciences in Dortmund.
My review of his most recent book, Serial Photography — Using Themed Images to Improve Your Photographic Skills, is available here. I’ve long been a fan of “serial photography” and in some cases, “sequential photography”. There is an important difference.
Here is an example of a series of my own images — old barns in Western North Carolina.
