The Manhattan Project

More travel photography.
We traveled to New Jersey in April 2011 to shoot the New York City skyline. While there, we also visited the Liberty Park and got some cool images of the Statue of Liberty.

Serial Photography – my review of a new book from Rockynook

Harold Mante, a Berliner by birth, has been a free lance photographer since 1965.  He is the author of many books on photography including one considered to be a classic, The Photograph: Composition and Color Design.  He was also a professor at the University of Applied Arts and Sciences in Dortmund.

My review of his most recent book, Serial Photography — Using Themed Images to Improve Your Photographic Skills, is available here.  I’ve long been a fan of “serial photography” and in some cases, “sequential photography”.  There is an important difference.

Here is an example of a series of my own images — old barns in Western North Carolina.

Watch for these images and more in a forthcoming new website featuring “travel photography”.  I’ll post the link when it goes live.
